  Our government was perfect.  What it has become by the hand of self serving politicians is a freakin’ mess.  Finished.  Doomed.  FUBAR.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Trustees for the government’s two biggest benefit programs warned Tuesday that Social Security and Medicare are facing enormous financial challenges, with the threats to Medicare far more severe.

The trustees, issuing a once-a-year analysis of the government’s two biggest benefit programs, said the resources in the Social Security trust fund will be depleted by 2041. The reserves in the Medicare trust fund that pays hospital benefits were projected to be wiped out by 2019.

Both those dates were the same as in last year’s report. But the trustees warned that financial pressures will begin much sooner when the programs begin paying out more in benefits each year than they collect in payroll taxes. For Medicare, that threshhold is projected to be reached this year and for Social Security it is projected to occur in 2017.

The politicians answer to fix it?  Raise taxes? Sigh…

G-D forbid they scale back on the BS they spend our money on.

What’s so frustrating is that it can be fixed very easily.  FairTax, cut earmarks, the list goes on… I’m wasting my energy though….

Our government has ceased to represent us, they represent themselves.

Its time for a change.  Benjamin Franklin realized it in the beginning of our nation and threw off the shackles of British oppression.  Drastic times call for drastic measures.

Stop buying gas, stop going to work, stop paying taxes, that’ll wake those pricks up.  I heard McCain today talking about a new Kyoto and the need to address climate change…..  it makes me physically ill…

I wonder if the uni-bombers cabin is for rent….
