Since when does the United Nations run America?

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) released a major report last week stating that the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) violates a protocol of the United Nations-sponsored Convention on the Rights of the Child, by targeting students as young as 14 for recruitment to the military.
“The United States military’s procedures for recruiting students plainly violate internationally accepted standards and fail to protect youth from abusive and aggressive recruitment tactics,” according to Jennifer Turner of the ACLU Human Rights Project.

To hear them tell it, ICE immigration raids only serve to terrify children and rip them from their families. When are we going to banish this communist organization (ACLU) from our society once and for all?

WASHINGTON, DC – The American Civil Liberties Union commends Chairwoman Lynn Woolsey (D-CA) and the Workforce Protection Subcommittee of the House Education and Labor Committee for holding today’s hearing on immigration raids and their impact on families and communities. Since late 2006 the Department of Homeland Security Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) section has undertaken an unprecedented campaign of immigration raids in homes, and worksites. The ACLU has challenged the legality and constitutionality of many of these raids including worksite raids conducted in New Bedford, Massachusetts, and Van Nuys, California.

H/T Rosemary’s Thoughts, Michelle Malkin, Stop the ACLU

I wish I could be 50 feet tall and get a 10 foot tall mug of beer… I would stand over California, finish my beer and…. well you know….

Yes, even after the ACLU cost them over $900,000 in city tax dollars in their attack on the Mt. Soledad cross, the San Diego City Council voted yesterday to pass a resolution “commending the American Civil Liberties Union of the San Diego and Imperial Counties for its continuous advocacy for the rights and freedoms of all San Diego” and proclaiming an “American Civil Liberties Union Day” in the City of San Diego. Give me a freaking break!

FIRM ACCUSED IN CIA ‘TORTURE FLIGHTS’

By Howard Mintz
Mercury News

The American Civil Liberties Union on Friday decided to appeal a San Jose federal judge’s recent decision dismissing a lawsuit brought against a local company accused of participating in the CIA’s so-called “torture flights.”

Lawyers for five men who say they were subject to the government’s extraordinary rendition program will appeal to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which will be asked to assess the Bush administration’s argument that allowing the case to proceed would reveal national security secrets.

U.S. District Judge James Ware sided with the government last month, concluding that litigation over the flight program could force the disclosure of CIA secrets.

The ACLU has sued San Jose-based Jeppesen Dataplan, alleging that the Boeing subsidiary knowingly participated in a program that allowed the government to kidnap and transport terrorism suspects to overseas prisons where they allegedly were tortured by CIA operatives.

Jeppesen officials have said they cannot discuss the program, but have denied involvement in any wrongdoing.

ACLU lawyers say the case could eventually give the U.S. Supreme Court a fresh opportunity to review the government’s use of the state secrets doctrine to insulate itself and private companies from lawsuits. The Bush administration has invoked the privilege with regularity.

As well they should.  Lawyers have no business scrutinizing our defenses.  TRM

You’ve all seen the news reports of Deputy Charlotte Marshall Jones’ heinous act of dumping the poor guy in a wheelchair to the ground and then rummaging through his pockets.  The site of it alone left me in disbelief.  I mean, c’mon, what kind of an asshat would do something like this.  Here’s where my "steel trap" of a brain went into over time.

I noticed everyone involved and in the immediate area were black, the victim, white.  You already know where I am going with this don’t you?

Since the Great Depression the poor have been getting a free ride.  Democrats(S) celebrate the poor, glamorize the poor, care for the poor.  No one, and I mean no one, cares for the poor like a bleeding heart liberal socialist(D).  But that’s not really true is it?

We have the wealthiest poor in the world.  Ethiopia, Darfur, N. Korea, now they have some poor!  The "poor" feed off of the largesse of this country and give absolutely nothing back.  Nothing.  They are the ones who get all of the benefits and they are the ones who vote Democrat(S).  If only they knew the wool being pulled over their eyes by the power hungry liars calling themselves Democrats(S).

Is the American Experiment a Failure?

There are many wonderful evidences of the United States greatness.  We started as that, "rowdy gaggle of heathens", declared our independence, drafted a constitution, and invented peanut butter.  Along the way we established ourselves as the nation to emulate in matters of fashion, trends, music, movies, and most importantly, our mode of Government.  But somehow along the way we have become to some a nuisance, to some an enemy, and to others, just plain pathetic.  On the playground of the world we have become, to some, that kid to be bullied and tripped in the hallways.  It wasn’t always this way.  We have spiraled into a quagmire of a government that doesn’t work, and we have the surge of 60’s radical socialist meddling with our society to thank.  Below are some of the things we are doing wrong and how I am convinced we can fix what’s broken in America, and regain our standing amongst our fellow creatures on this rock called earth.  This is what I would do.
